Rules and other small print
Entrants must be over 18 years of age.
There is no limit to the number of different entries that an individual may submit.
Entries may be submitted by an individual, or by groups of named individuals working together. In the latter case, a single contact should be specified. Any prize money will be paid to this individual, with the expectation that it will be fairly distributed amongst the group. It will be up to the team to agree the practicalities of sharing the prize, and neither Talis nor the Judges would expect to take part in this.
An entry will be deemed to have been submitted only when an email pointing to it has been sent to and received at firstname.lastname@example.org and when that same entry has either been explicitly pointed to from a blog posting carrying the MUTL06 Technorati tag or explicitly pointed to from a post in this forum. No responsibility can be accepted for entries sent but not received.
Winning entries will be required to deposit both a functional copy of their entry and documentation sufficient to enable its duplication with the TDN. Software and documentation must be licensed in such a way as to ensure that members of the TDN community may benefit from the ideas demonstrated. Where the entry will not simply be made available for free use and reuse, winning entrants will need to satisfy the judges as to the spirit and rationale behind their licensing decisions, prior to prize money being made available.
Neither Talis nor the judge will be liable for any damage, loss or disappointment suffered by any person taking part or not being able to take part in this competition.
Competition winners may be required to take part in or co-operate with publicity.
Competition winners agree to keep confidential any knowledge relating to their win, until such time as Talis announce the result in public.
We reserve the right to amend these rules at any time. Entry in the competition implies acceptance of these rules.
The decision of the judges is final.
